Is it just you?
- If you see the capacity message, others are seeing it too; it is load, and it will not show on status.claude.com.
- Check whether the message names a usage limit with a reset time; that is your account, not an outage.
- Try the Claude desktop or mobile app as well as claude.ai in a private window to rule out a browser extension.
- For login errors, turn off your VPN and browser extensions, then clear cookies for claude.ai.
- API users: a 529 or 500 is on Anthropic's side, while 401, 403 and 429 point to your key, permissions or rate limits.

It means the API is temporarily overloaded across all users. It is not your usage limit and does not count against your quota; retry after a short wait or switch models.
